What really goes into storm repairs?
Minor-looking damage can involve insurance scope review, code compliance updates, ventilation adjustments, and careful coordination of roof components. Proper restoration goes far beyond a surface repair.

BEFORE & AFTERS

This project was a chance to take care of the necessary exterior repairs while also making meaningful upgrades. With new siding, corrected deck and window flashing, and a new screen porch, the home is better protected and better enjoyed at the same time.

This Forest Lake project included siding replacement along with updated deck flashing and window flashing to help protect the home and finish the exterior the right way.

This home received Owens Corning Duration shingles in Chateau Green, a color choice that gave the whole exterior a fresh, updated look while adding lasting protection.

Storm damage affects systems — not just shingles.
If your roof qualifies for replacement, the installation details matter just as much as the shingles themselves. We document damage carefully, communicate with insurance clearly, and install the full roofing system correctly — so the repair holds up long after the storm is forgotten.
Get it fixed and upgrade too
Asphalt shingle roofing • Standing seam metal roofing • Metal panel roofing
Steel siding • Aluminum siding • Vinyl siding
When hail or wind damage requires roof or siding replacement, insurance typically covers restoration to similar materials.
However, many homeowners choose to upgrade shingle color, siding style, or trim details during the replacement process. At your storm damage walkthrough, we’ll review available roofing and siding color options and explain how upgrades work within your insurance scope.

-
What residential roofing materials do you install?
We pride ourselves on installing industry leading asphalt shingles. We have hand selected those that have the best warranties.
-
Should I call insurance before contacting a contractor?
You can begin with either one.
What’s most important is having your contractor onsite when the adjuster inspects the property.
In our experience, claims are clearer and more complete when the contractor and adjuster review the damage together.
-
Will my insurance premiums increase?
That depends on your policy and claim history. We recommend speaking directly with your agent.
-
Can I upgrade materials beyond what insurance covers?
Yes. Many homeowners in Cambridge choose upgraded shingles, architectural styles, or new siding colors during storm replacement. You simply pay the difference between the insurance allowance and your selected materials.
-
How long does a roof replacement take?
Most residential roof replacements in Minnesota take 1–2 days, depending on size, weather conditions, and decking condition. Siding replacement timelines vary based on scope.
-
Do you handle permits and code requirements?
Yes. We handle required building permits and ensure your roof or siding replacement meets Minnesota building code and manufacturer warranty requirements.
